Does Grok work on Intel Teslas?

Short answer: No. Tesla lists an AMD processor as a requirement for Grok, and the 2026.32.100 release notes say "As with all Grok features, they are only available on AMD vehicles." Intel Atom cars do not get Grok at all, including the newer car commands.

Try these, in order

  1. Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information shows your infotainment processor: AMD Ryzen or Intel Atom.
  2. Rough guide: Teslas built from late 2021 began switching to AMD Ryzen, and the switch was largely complete by the second half of 2022 (GetTesla). Check your own car rather than relying on the build date.
  3. Release notes list Grok for Model 3, Model Y, the new Model S and Model X, and Cybertruck on AMD.
  4. On an AMD car, Grok also needs software 2025.26 or later and Premium Connectivity or Wi-Fi.
