Why isn't Grok showing up in my Tesla?

Short answer: Grok only appears on Teslas that meet Tesla's requirements: an AMD processor, software 2025.26 or later, and Premium Connectivity or Wi-Fi. It is also rolled out by country. On a car that qualifies, open it from App Launcher > Grok or press and hold the steering wheel mic button.

Try these, in order

  1. Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information: look for an AMD (Ryzen) processor. Intel Atom cars do not get Grok at all.
  2. Controls > Software: Grok chat arrived in 2025.26. Install any pending update.
  3. Make sure the car has Premium Connectivity or Wi-Fi. Grok has no offline mode.
  4. Check that Grok is offered in your country. It launched in the US and was added country by country; 2026.32.100 added Israel, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Morocco and Jordan.
  5. Open it from App Launcher > Grok, or press and hold the mic button on the steering wheel (Tesla's support page).
  6. Features missing right after an update? Owners report a touchscreen reboot helps (hold both steering wheel scroll buttons).
