Quick answers

Why isn't "Hey Grok" working in my Tesla?

Voice activation has to be turned on first: go to Controls > Audio > Grok Settings, and make sure the car has Premium Connectivity or Wi-Fi. Holding the steering wheel mic button always works as a fallback.

Does my Tesla have Grok?

Your Tesla has Grok if it has an AMD processor, software 2025.26 or later, and Premium Connectivity or Wi-Fi. The newer car commands need 2026.26 or later.

Why isn't Grok Bot working in my Tesla?

In-car Grok Bot needs a SuperGrok subscription on the Grok account signed into the car, and Grok Bot set up with that same account linked. Owners on X Premium+ reported losing access after a mid-October update, and Tesla hasn't said whether The X Subscription plans work in the car.

Why does my Tesla tell me to open the Grok app?

It means you reached your Grok account's usage limit. Tesla says signed-in cars follow your account limits and prompt you to open the Grok app when you hit them. If you're not signed in, the car asks you to sign in instead.
